Wooden Stacking Peg Truck

Stack the shapes. Roll the truck. Take it all apart and start again.

The Wooden Stacking Peg Truck is two classic first toys in one — a shape sorter and a rolling truck — designed for toddlers from 12 months. It's a retro-inspired vehicle with four sets of colorful wheels and three differently shaped pegs on the back, each with three matching colored rings to stack. Children have to work out which ring fits onto which peg, building shape and color recognition while developing the kind of precise hand-eye coordination that's right at the edge of a one-year-old's abilities.

Once the truck is loaded, the play changes — push it across the floor, watch the cargo wobble, take everything off and start again. It's the combination of stacking puzzle and rolling vehicle that makes it so endlessly replayable, and the chunky retro design means it looks beautiful on a playroom shelf when it's not being used.

It pairs perfectly with the rest of the Stacking & Sorting range and Mentari's other early-walker favorites like the Puppy on Wheels and the Bambino Block Trolley.

George ★★★★★

My 18-month-old figured out the shape sorter within a week, and now she just yanks all the pegs off to start over. The wooden pieces feel solid and haven't chipped despite daily drops on the tile.

Brian ★★★★★

The wheels actually roll smoothly on our rug, which I wasn't expecting from a wooden toy. My two-year-old spends more time taking the pegs off than stacking them, but that's kind of the point at this age.

Aurora Q. ★★★★★

My 15-month-old figured out the shape sorter within a week, and now she just drags the truck around by the little wooden peg on top. The wheels roll smoothly on our hardwood, which I was worried about with a heavier wooden toy.
